UCP Is Growing!

10/31/2017

UCP is pleased to announce that we’re growing—quite a bit!

Currently, UCP Connections (our support services brokerage department) supports 251 customers, but over the next few months, Connections will grow by almost 30%, with the end goal of supporting 326 customers.
To accommodate this growth, we have added 2 new Personal Agent positions, created 2 Lead Personal Agent positions, and “beefed up” the brokerage’s administrative support.

We are particularly happy to announce that several long-standing UCP employees received promotions in the process.

  • Tara Coen was promoted to Lead Personal Agent in May, and has been an integral part in preparing the brokerage for this next phase. She brings strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to tenaciously work through complex systems. Congrats, Tara!

  • More recently, John Barrios was promoted to an additional Lead Personal Agent position. John served as a Personal Agent for 4 years, and brings an open-door approach, fantastic case management skills, and a serious commitment to UCP’s mission. Congrats, John!

  • Nicholas Knudsen is joining the brokerage as a Personal Agent, coming from UCP’s Employment Solutions (Supported Employment) Department. He brings a background in employment, direct support, diversity, advocacy, and teamwork. Congrats, Nick!

  • Stephanie Mullen is also joining the brokerage as a Personal Agent, after several years providing excellent in-home supports on UCP’s Foundations (Supported Living) team. Stephanie’s education is in social work, and has a background in direct support, community organizing, and working with diverse cultures. Congrats, Stephanie!

  • Finally, Jarrod Nixon has been promoted to Data and Administrative Support Technician. Jarrod stepped up during a critical time for us, and his steady demeanor fosters calm efficiency through very hectic days. Congrats, Jarrod!
