IN HONOR OF JERRY

As you may know, a beloved member of the UCP community, Jerry Pattee, passed away earlier this year.

Jerry was a longtime UCP board member, but he was also tremendously active in the larger disabilities community. Jerry volunteered for the OHSU University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), serving on their on the advisory board for nearly thirteen years. He mentored many junior board members and advised on a number of projects and programs over the years.

Six years ago, Jerry was instrumental in creating an OHSU program that focuses on spirituality, health and sibling relationships for people who have disabilities. Since then, the project has assisted thousands of Oregonians with disabilities.

In his honor, the OHSU board has decided to rename the project the "Jerry Pattee Community Engagement Grant Program."

That’s why we’d like to share a link to a really helpful summary about the upcoming Oregon Needs Assessment (ONA). The ONA will affect everyone who qualifies for developmental disability services in Oregon who chooses to receive services from the Community First Choice (K) Plan.

Meet Our New Children's Services Manager

UCP Oregon is pleased to introduce you to our new Children's Services Manager, Beth Villard!

Beth has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, and has spent most of her career working with children with mental health diagnoses and their families. Many of these children have been dually diagnosed with an Intellectual/Developmental Disorder.

Beth says, "I’m really excited to be here and look forward to supporting the Building Blocks team and the customers and families that we work with."
