Can you believe that December is almost here?
This week, UCP Oregon is celebrating “Giving Tuesday”—a day to pause and reflect on what’s truly important this holiday season.
If UCP Oregon matters to you, we encourage you to donate today.
Your donation will make a big difference right here in the Portland area. You’ll be helping 800 families and 1,000 adults with disabilities live independent lives and get the support they need.
Plus, your donation will count for the 2023 tax year! Donate to UCP Oregon today!
One of UCP Oregon's most popular Family Support events is the annual Cinnamon Bear Cruise. Our families gather together to share a meal, enjoy a boat ride on the Willamette, and partake in festive holiday-themed entertainment.
So far, 82 families have signed up to participate this year!
Please sponsor a child, a family... or even several families! $44 is all it takes for one child to attend.
Thank you for helping to bring cheer to our UCP families and children this season!
Eeek! We're falling a bit behind!
Please remember to keep voting for UCP Oregon every day until July 5th, in Advantis Credit Union's completion to win a $10,000 grant.
If we win the grant, we'll be able to give 50 families from UCP's Family Support Department a night of respite at a hotel of their choice.
One night away can make a huge difference in the lives of parents who are raising kids with disabilities, many who are caregivers 24/7.
PS: Gigantic thanks to the awesome local Advantis Credit Union for offering this grant!
Thanks to everyone who starting voting for UCP in the Advantis Credit Union competition to win a $10,000 grant!
As of this moment, we're in second place, which would qualify us for a grant! But we have to keep voting daily through July 5th.
To help you remember, we created a fun Printable Voting Tracker.
PS: If UCP wins, we'll be able to give overnight hotel stays to 50 families in our Family Support Department who are raising kids with disabilitites.
Some of these parents are "on duty" 24/7, so an overnight break can change lives.
Due to popular request, you can now donate directly to UCP’s Family Support Department!
Your donation will assist 800 families who are raising children with developmental disabilities, right here in Oregon.
Our Family Support Department is there at every stage, from the moment of diagnosis to the time when the child is ready to start their adult life.
We offer monthly support groups, information and referral, fun outings, and workshops and classes. But most importantly, we offer hope, a sense of connection, and lots of fun along the way!
Thank you so much for your support. We couldn’t do it without you!
Hi, this is Corrie!
It's the holiday season, and many of us are feeling stretched a little thin. So, I wanted to share a free (and easy) way to make a difference... without spending a dime!
Did you know that you can raise money for UCP, simply by shopping?
It's true. Simply select "UCP Oregon" as your charity via Amazon's Smile program, and then use www.smile.amazon.com as your starting point whenever you shop on Amazon. We’ll get a donation every time you shop.
You can raise free money at Fred Meyer's, too!
I've personally raised $61.39 for UCP. It feels great knowing I'm making a difference all year long.
Join the movement that is #GivingTuesday!
Today, November 29th, millions of people around the world are taking the time to support the causes they care about the most.
We are asking YOU to donate to UCP Oregon. Your donation will make a big difference for the 800 families and 1,000 adults with disabilities that we currently support in Oregon.

Alas, as you may have guessed, there will be no 2022 Walk, Roll 'n' Run (WRR).
The WRR is UCP Oregon's biggest special event. It raises funds for the hundreds of families and kids who use the services of our Family Support Department.
So we're going to need your help more than ever!
That's why we're asking you to donate in your usual amount. Or even consider donating more! Every dollar makes a huge difference.
As you know, UCP Oregon believes in the power of real choice, real jobs, real homes, and real connections for all—a full life for those we serve.
But it’s obvious that, in many cases, experiencing a full life can be extremely challenging, given the funding and service delivery systems that currently exist for people with developmental disabilities.
That’s why we launched the Bill Porter Memorial Fund (BPMF) in 2018.
The BPMF is designed to assist our customers to experience a full life, however that might look for each customer. Customers have applied for funding for:
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be opening the 2022 BPMF application process on February 1, 2022.
Note: Applicants must be currently receiving services from UCP Oregon to be considered.
