WE NEED YOUR HELP MORE THAN EVER

9/12/2020

Picture
We're sad to announce that the 2020 Walk, Roll 'n' Run (WRR) is cancelled.

In a normal year, the WRR is UCP's biggest event. It raises crucial funds for our Family Support Department, allowing us to provide vital supports for families raising kids with cerebral palsy.

But... it's not a normal year. It's 2020.

And that means we need your help more than ever!

That's why we're asking you to donate in your usual WRR amount. Or even consider donating more!

WHAT A GREAT EVENT!

9/21/2019

Thanks to everyone who came out and made this year's Walk, Roll 'n' Run so amazing! We'll be sharing more stories and pictures soon, but here's a few for now!

What's Your Reason?

9/12/2019

As you may know, we've been asking people to share their stories about what UCP means to them. Here's one of those stories!

PS: YOU can share YOUR story about what UCP means to you here.

Hi, I’m Jan. My older brother, Jerry Pattee, was born with cerebral palsy. With the right supports, Jerry was able to live a wonderful and full life. He worked for various telephone companies; he married and raised two children; he bought his own home. My brother also spent the majority of his life participating in disability committees and non-profit boards (like UCP's) to build a better future for others living with disabilities.

I can truly say my entire life has been in the “world of CP”!

I have worked in UCP's Family Support Department for eleven years. My daughter, Kristen, has been the UCP Receptionist for the last three years. Three of my grandchildren volunteer at Family Support events and the Walk, Roll 'n' Run every year. Participating
in UCP Oregon is a family affair for us.

That’s my reason for supporting The Walk, Roll, ‘n’ Run. What's yours?

Congratulations to this year's top Walk, Roll 'n' Run fundraising team: Team Katie and Marie!

Katie was also the top individual fundraiser for the whole event!

This week, Old Chicago in Portland threw a Pizza Party for them! Thank you so much to the wonderful staff at Old Chicago!

Thanks to everyone who made the 2018 Walk, Roll 'n' Run event great!

On September 15, 2018 UCP's "family" of supporters and customers  showed up to walk, roll 'n' run around the Portland Waterfront.

Thanks to our 2018 WRR sponsors for making this event possible!

Got WRR Socks?

Did you know that you can get Walk Roll 'n' Run socks? (Doggos not included.)

These socks are knee-high and awesome, and the only way that you can get them is to sign up to participate in the WRR, and raise $25 in donations!

Don’t forget to follow @ucporegon on Instagram and post yourself wearing your new socks!

Congrats to Our 2018 WRR Ambassador!

UCP Oregon is pleased to announce that Marie Blanchard will be the Ambassador for the 2018 Walk, Roll 'n' Run (WRR).

Marie experiences cerebral palsy, and has been an important part of the
WRR since the very first event (in 2005), when she was the main organizer and captain of a WRR team. She was 13 that year and did all the organizing herself. She's been a team captain ever since.

Each year, she reaches out to everyone she knows, requesting that they join her team or sponsor her for the event.

She loves UCP and raises funds for UCP all year long, not just during the WRR. She’s raised more than $45,000 since 2005!

Marie will receive her honors from at our upcoming UCP Friends Breakfast on Tuesday, May 15th.
