Meet the Baby Goats!

a special event for ucp's family support department

We are so excited about this upcoming event!

One of the families in UCP's Family Support Department is hosting an event on their goat farm, just for us!

This is an opportunity for everyone in Family Support to meet newborn baby goats at Fraga Farm. Participants will get to get up close and personal with the baby goats (“kids”), including bottle feeding. You’ll also get to hang out, walk with the goats, or watch them from a safe distance—whatever your family’s comfort level is. 
 
We want to extend a huge thank you to the hosts, a UCP Oregon family, Elisabeth Bueschen-Monahan (the Herd Manager) and Steve Monahan (the Cheesemaker) for creating this awesome opportunity for our families!
 
Accessibility and Comfort:
  • Access to the barn is smooth gravel and straw and can be bumpy.  It is accessible for ability strollers. 
  • Please note that the goats can appear to be VERY BIG to small children, and that parents need to be with their children at all times. 
  • UCP’s Family Support Director, Katherine, will be at the event.
  • The event will be paced according to the interests and/or needs of our UCP group.
  • This event will be held no matter the weather, so please dress appropriately!

  • Sunday, March 5th from 2:30-4pm.

  • Fraga Farm, 54655 NW Old Wilson River Road, Gales Creek, OR 97117.
  • It’s a 45-minute drive from Portland.
